Anthony Parnther kicks off the cultural season with the Gala Opening Night at the New York Philharmonic featuring three-time Grammy-winning jazz vocalist Cécile McLorin Salvant on September 25th. He returns to New York to Carnegie Hall the following week, October 4 and 5, to perform the “Marvel Studios Infinity Saga Concert Experience” and then heads to St. Louis to lead a special centennial tribute to Chuck Berry on October 17 & 18.

Later in October,, Parnther heads to Scotland to conduct the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO) in the world premiere performances of Tamboo-Bamboo Concerto, a new RSNO commission from Matthew Rooke, an English composer of Scottish and Gabonese descent. The concerto’s dedicatee, RSNO principal timpanist Paul Philbert, is the soloist on a program bookended by Panufnik’s Sinfonia Sacra and Beethoven’s “Eroica” Symphony on October 24 and 25.
